Backstory What made your character into who they are now? Coriander was born a werecat in 1214 in Germany, her parents abandoned her in the woods when they saw her ears, which are like those of cats. A kindly old woman that had been shunned because of her use of miracle herbal remedies. Coriander lived with this woman, who accepted her even when she stopped aging at 13, until the woman died. She then took the woman's place caring for the animals of the forest. Eventually she spawned a legend of a child sprite of the forests that cared for children lost in the forest. When the people bordering the forest forgot their own legend, sometime around 1600, and began cutting down the trees of the forest. Coriander was enraged, and began killing anyone who came near her forest, be they adult or child. Eventually the citizens of the town formed a hunting party and forced her from her forest, nearly killing her. Her body was dumped in a river, and she floated away. Two days later she came to on the bank of the river, completely healed. When she realized what had happened, she cried for days. Eventually she picked herself up, and began to travel, she only moved at night and hid during the day. Eventually she reached what is now known as the Black Forest. Which is where she stayed until the first world war. The war scared her, and when soldiers came near her forest, she became violent again. Hundreds of people died when they tried to enter her home. Eventually the German forces abandoned hope of entering the forest, leaving Coriander alone in peace. She had a few more years of peace, then the second world war started. This time, when she killed German soldiers, Nazi command responded by bombing her forest. The anguish of the surrounding ecosystem forced her away, and for the remainder of the war, she lived on the run. When the war was over she returned to the Black Forest, where she remains to this day.
Characteristics Coriander has no human ears to speak of, instead she has cat ears. Other then her ears, her body resembles that of a 13 year old girl. Her eyes appear like those of cats, slit and piercing. She is outgoing and kind, but hides anguish inside. If threatened, she can become violent, and is very adept at fighting.
